Terms

Service terms

The ground rules for using this site, without the wall of capital letters.

By using fillandsigntools.com you accept the terms below. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site.

What this site is

Fill and Sign Tools publishes reviews, comparisons and how-to guides about software for filling in and signing PDF forms. It is an independent editorial publication. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any of the software vendors we write about, and their product names and trademarks belong to them.

Using the site

You are welcome to read, print and share our pages for your own personal or internal business use. Please do not republish substantial parts of the site elsewhere, scrape it in bulk, or present our writing as your own. Short quotations with a clear link back are fine and always appreciated.

You agree not to use the site in any way that damages it or interferes with anyone else's use of it, and not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it or the systems that serve it.

Editorial content and accuracy

We write from hands-on use and take accuracy seriously, but software changes constantly. Features move between paid tiers, buttons get renamed, apps gain and lose capabilities, and a page that was right when it was written can drift out of date. Everything here is provided for general information, on an "as is" basis, without warranties of any kind. Always check the vendor's own current documentation and pricing before you rely on a feature or buy a subscription.

Not legal or professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax or professional advice. In particular, whether a specific electronic signature is valid or acceptable for a specific document depends on the document, the parties and the jurisdiction. If a form matters, confirm the requirements with the organisation that issued it, or take qualified advice.

Your documents

We never handle your files. This site provides no upload, no processing and no storage of documents of any kind — the tools we describe run on your own device or on the vendor's service. You are responsible for the security of the forms you fill in and for reading the terms and privacy policy of any service you send them to. Give particular thought to this when a form contains personal or financial details.

Affiliate links and commissions

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and subscribe or purchase, we may receive a commission from the vendor at no additional cost to you. Commissions fund the site. They do not buy coverage, influence our conclusions, or give a vendor any say over what is published. Where an affiliate relationship exists, we disclose it.

Third-party links and software

Links to vendors, documentation and other publications are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites or products and are not responsible for their content, pricing, availability, security or practices. Any dealing you have with a third party — including any purchase — is between you and them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or anything you found through it, including lost data, a rejected or corrupted form, a missed deadline, or costs incurred with a third-party service. You use the information here at your own discretion and risk. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Intellectual property

The text, layout and design of this site are ours unless stated otherwise. Product names, logos and screenshots of third-party software remain the property of their respective owners and appear here for identification and commentary.

Availability

We aim to keep the site online and current, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, move or remove pages, and we may update or withdraw content at any time without notice.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site develops. The current version is always the one on this page, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
